White part of the scallion can be stir-fried. Green part however is definitely a garnish. Jamie still effed up every other step of the way though lol.

...What on Earth did I just watch? I'll admit, I don't know much about Asian cooking, but what that man made was not fried rice. Not a bloody bit of it was FRIED. He just oiled it and boiled it. FRIED rice shouldn't be wet; if you ordered fried chicken and your server tossed some sopping wet hunks of chicken in front of your face, you'd be well within your rights to get a refund and a personal apology from the loser that made such garbage. And COOKING green onions? They're supposed to have crunch and texture, Jamie, you massive knobend. Whatever THAT was, it wasn't fried rice. It'd be better served being called Rice a la Moron. (Also, I'm white as the driven snow, and I share Uncle Roger's confusion as to what chili jam is. I've never heard of it in my life and the concept alone disgusts me.)

I agree, one don't even need to be Asian to know how horrible it is. Egg fried rice should not be sweet but he added chili jam (I also don't know what that is). Asians never cook fresh rice solely for this dish, egg fried rice is literally a dish that is made from cold, leftover rice. That's one of the reason his rice is wet, but he made it more wet because of the water from the tofu (didn't even bother to drain it) and adding splash of water 😵 I am not surprised knowing why his restaurants had to close 😳
